Fun looks different for everyone so this summer at Dalkeith Country Park we want to help you find yours! Whether it’s at the Fort Douglas adventure park, up in the treetops with Go Ape Dalkeith or a day out with friends at Restoration Yard, there’s fun for all at Dalkeith Country Park this summer.
Fun for the whole family
Fort Douglas is the ultimate destination for family days out. Let little adventurers escape into the trees in Sky Maze where parents can relive their childhood too by joining them as they climb, slide and scramble within its wooden, turreted adventure-fest. Mini Maze is a littler version of Sky Maze so that those under-five can take their first steps, safely, into mini adventures. Add in the amazing jumping pillows, the ziplines, tunnel slide and scramble nets and Fort Douglas is a one-stop fun zone where energy can be burnt off in the great outdoors.
Adrenaline seekers will find their fun with Go Ape Dalkeith. An exhilarating addition that joined the Dalkeith Country Park family in 2021. Embrace adventure and take the tribe to a whole new height on one of Go Ape’s three treetop courses. It’s not just the grown-ups that can have all the fun. Go Ape has introduced its first Scottish Treetop Adventure course for children over 1m tall.
For the nature appreciator it’s got to be camping under the stars at the Dalkeith Country Park summer campsite. Located right in the centre of all The Park action, and just 20 minutes outside Edinburgh city centre, there will be no running out of activities in a hurry. The summer campsite is open from 15 July until mid-August 2022.
This summer create the perfect family day out. Our friends at Restoration Yard will keep the troops refuelled in between adventures. Take to the treetops with Go Ape, then head for a relaxed spot of shopping in The Store. Or spend a night under the stars then treat the family to breakfast in The Kitchen. A Giacopazzi ice-cream is the perfect way to round off a Fort Douglas visit. The choice is yours! Come and Find Your Fun at Dalkeith Country Park this summer.
