“Great to see the events roar back to life in the South of Scotland. This month saw the incredible Borders Book Festival return, the Sir Jackie Stewart Classic at Thirlestane Castle’s inaugural run and the Common Ridings return after a pandemic enforced hiatus. Tens of thousands of locals and tourists enjoyed the very best that Scotland has to offer – culture, heritage and excitement. However, our sector has significant headwinds to manage given the inflationary pressures and lack of available staff – that’s why getting empirical data on the effect is crucial for our ability to make our case nationally. Please fill in our survey if you have a spare 5 minutes.” Ross McAuley, CEO SSDA.
